Life Drawings are one way that art students get practice at drawing people. The nude figure helps art students understand how the bone structure works together. This is unique to life drawing, and this understanding is very difficult to get with clothed models. From the tradition of life drawing my life painting series has been done in the same manner. All the paintings in the life painting series have been done all in one sitting, or a two and a half hour block. This short time frame doesn't allow for spending time on all the small details. As a result the paintings from the life drawing series are very lose and impressionistic. I hope you enjoy them. This one is my favorite.  |
